The Technical Community Coalition for Multistakeholderism (TCCM) has welcomed the adoption by consensus of the WSIS+20 Outcome Document at the UN General Assembly High-Level Meeting reviewing the World Summit on the Information Society. In a statement issued on 18 December 2025, the coalition described the outcome as an important affirmation of an open, global, and interoperable internet grounded in multistakeholder governance.

TCCM commended the co-facilitators of the WSIS+20 process for their inclusive and transparent approach, which included the establishment of the Informal Multistakeholder Sounding Board to facilitate broader stakeholder engagement. The coalition also highlighted the balance achieved in the final text and the willingness of UN Member States to reach consensus across differing positions.

The coalition noted that the adopted outcome reflects key priorities it had advocated for, including recognition of multistakeholder internet governance, a strengthened Internet Governance Forum with a permanent mandate, and continued relevance of the WSIS Action Lines. TCCM stated that it would continue to engage with UN processes to support sustainable and inclusive approaches to internet governance.
