ARIN fulfils 483 IPv4 address requests from waiting list

The American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) fulfilled 483 requests for IPv4 address space on 7 October 2026, drawing from 577 address blocks listed as cleared for Waiting List distribution.

ARIN manages Internet number resources across its service region. Its IPv4 Waiting List provides a process for organisations seeking address space when available resources are limited. The latest distribution addresses a portion of the requests on the list, using blocks cleared for allocation.

ARIN also cautioned that previous assumptions about the reputation of these address blocks may no longer be valid. Some blocks had been associated with blocklisting, but ARIN said earlier inferences about their reputation were most likely no longer applicable.

The organisation directs applicants and other interested parties to its current IPv4 Waiting List and its guidance on the availability process for further details. ARIN said the next distribution is expected late in the fourth quarter of 2026, when it will notify the community and update the list of address blocks used to fulfil requests.

The distribution provides another opportunity for organisations awaiting IPv4 resources to receive address space, while highlighting the importance of reviewing the current status and reputation of previously listed blocks rather than relying on older assessments.
