ICANN appoints JAS Global Advisors for 2026 gTLD round quality control

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has entered into an agreement with JAS Global Advisors LLC (JAS) to provide quality control services for the 2026 round of its New Generic Top-Level Domains (gTLD) Program.

The provider will conduct procedural inspections across all evaluation types during the String, Applicant and Application Evaluation stages, as well as Community Priority Evaluation (CPE). Its role will include checking that evaluators apply the criteria in the Applicant Guidebook (AGB) consistently and that evaluations follow the established processes.

JAS will also recommend process improvements to ICANN. These recommendations will be considered for implementation by the relevant panels and evaluators.

ICANN selected JAS through a competitive Request for Proposal process launched in January 2026. The organisation said the selection followed its procurement best practices, which aim to secure services that meet the required specifications and standards of quality and value.

JAS has provided independent security and technology assessment services for more than 20 years. The company also performed quality control services during the 2012 round of the gTLD programme.
