ANSI seeks stakeholder input on data centre standardisation
The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) is seeking input from US stakeholders to help develop a potential standards coordination initiative for data centers. The effort will explore priorities related to infrastructure, technology, sustainability and workforce development.
The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has launched a call for interested stakeholders to provide input on a potential new initiative focused on data centre standardisation.
The initiative aims to collect perspectives on existing standards, coordination challenges and future priorities across several areas, including facility infrastructure, digital infrastructure, technology and innovation, as well as governance, sustainability and workforce development.
Topics under consideration include data centre design and construction, energy and cooling systems, networks, connectivity, cloud services, security, supply chains, emerging technologies, regulatory issues and workforce training.
ANSI will use stakeholder feedback to identify gaps, emerging needs and opportunities for greater collaboration among organisations involved in data center development and operation. Interested participants can submit information on relevant standardisation challenges and opportunities.
