Youth Voices for Digital Rights
12 January 2026
CADE’s Youth Voices for Digital Rights initiative invites you to a virtual open house that marks the culmination of four months of work with 15 young advocates from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Europe. These participants have explored how their rights intersect with an increasingly data-driven world. They represent a generation that uses digital platforms intensively and experiences the effects of emerging technologies firsthand, yet continues to be underrepresented in internet governance discussions.
Led by Forus in partnership with Fundación Karisma, the initiative has built a shared space for learning, collaboration, and creative expression. During the open house, participants will present the Youth Manifesto on Digital Rights, along with multimedia projects that reflect personal and community experiences of navigating the digital sphere. Together, these outputs highlight how young people understand the opportunities and risks of today’s digital environment, and how they envision a rights-respecting digital future.
The virtual open house will take place on 12 January 2026, from 13:00 to 14:30 UTC. Registration is now open. Simultaneous interpretation in English, French, and Spanish will be available
