IGF 2026 extends deadline for session proposals
The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) has extended the deadline for submitting session proposals for IGF 2026. Stakeholders now have until 2 August 2026 at 23:59 UTC to submit proposals for sessions aligned with the forum’s overarching theme, ‘Governing the Internet in the Age of Intelligence: Our Shared Responsibility’.
The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) has extended the deadline for its 2026 call for session proposals, giving stakeholders additional time to submit proposals for inclusion in next year’s programme.
The extended deadline is 2 August 2026 at 23:59 UTC. The call is open to stakeholders from across governments, the private sector, civil society, the technical community and academia wishing to organise sessions at IGF 2026.
Session proposals should align with the forum’s overarching theme, ‘Governing the Internet in the Age of Intelligence: Our Shared Responsibility’. The theme was agreed during the IGF 2026 First Open Consultations and Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) meeting following public input gathered through thematic and stocktaking consultations.
The call covers several session formats, with applicants invited to review the available options and submission requirements before applying.
