ARIN opens survey on participation in Internet number resource policy development

The American Registry for Internet Numbers has opened a new survey focused on participation in Internet number resource policy development. The initiative is led by the Advisory Council Policy Engagement Working Group and is intended to gather feedback on how engagement in policy discussions and decision-making could be broadened and strengthened.

According to ARIN, the survey is part of a wider effort to review current engagement practices within its Policy Development Process. A blog post published by members of the Advisory Council working group outlines several proposed approaches aimed at lowering barriers to participation and improving communication with the community. ARIN recommends that respondents review this background material before completing the survey in order to understand the context and scope of the questions being asked.

The survey is open to all members of the Internet community, not only to organizations that hold number resources. Responses will be accepted until 27 February 2026. ARIN states that the collected feedback will be used to develop a prioritised and actionable roadmap for future engagement activities related to Internet number resource policy development.
