IGF 2026 makes submitted session proposals public
The IGF Secretariat has published all session proposals submitted for the 2026 Internet Governance Forum, allowing the community to review the ideas put forward for the programme.
The Internet Governance Forum has published all session proposals submitted for IGF 2026, allowing the community to review the proposals before the final programme is announced. The submissions cover several session formats, including workshops, open forums, pre-events, lightning talks, networking sessions, and launches and awards.
The publication does not mean that all proposed sessions have been accepted. The proposals have passed the basic submission criteria and are now undergoing the relevant evaluation and selection processes. Workshop proposals, for example, will be assessed by the Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG), while other session types follow their respective review processes.
The next step is the selection of sessions for the final IGF 2026 programme, which is expected to be announced in September. The annual IGF meeting will take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from 14 to 18 December 2026, under the theme ‘Governing the Internet in the Age of Intelligence: Our Shared Responsibility’.
