ICANN to hold informational webinar on draft FY27 operating and financial plans
ICANN is inviting community members to register for an informational webinar in December 2025 and January 2026, offering an overview of its draft FY27 operating and financial plans for both ICANN and Public Technical Identifiers ahead of upcoming Public Comment proceedings.
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has announced an informational webinar to introduce the community to its draft FY27 operating and financial plans. The session will cover both ICANN’s organisational plans and those of Public Technical Identifiers (PTI), with each draft set to be released shortly for separate Public Comment. To accommodate different time zones, ICANN will hold the webinar twice, on 18 December 2025 at 15:30 UTC and 14 January 2026 at 00:00 UTC, with community members able to register for either session.
ICANN’s Five-Year Operating and Financial Plan outlines the actions, resource allocations and milestones required to meet the organisation’s strategic goals for FY26–30. It provides a consolidated view of the work ICANN intends to carry out in support of its mission and in alignment with the broader strategic plan. Complementing this is the Annual Operating Plan and Budget, which identifies priorities and expenditures for the fiscal year, including the dedicated budgets for the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) functions and PTI.
During the webinar, ICANN will explain the structure and purpose of the draft plans and respond to questions to support informed participation in the Public Comment process. The session will be recorded, and the recording will be made available on the FY27 Operating Plan and Budget workspace for community reference.
