World Telecommunication Development Conference 2025 (WTDC-25)
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) will hold the World Telecommunication Development Conference 2025 (WTDC-25) in Baku, Azerbaijan, from November 17 to 28, 2025. Hosted by the Government of Azerbaijan, the event will bring together representatives from governments, regulators, industry, academia, and civil society to discuss priorities for advancing global telecommunications and digital development.
WTDC-25 will take place under the theme ‘Universal, meaningful, and affordable connectivity for an inclusive and sustainable digital future.’ The conference will serve as a platform for dialogue and decision-making on strategies to expand connectivity, improve access to digital technologies, and strengthen cooperation among all stakeholders.
Participants will work on defining actions and commitments to close connectivity gaps, promote digital inclusion, and align global development efforts with the UN sustainable development goals. The outcomes of WTDC-25 are expected to guide ITU’s development agenda for the coming years and set the direction for international cooperation in the telecommunications and digital sectors.
