The World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum 2026 is scheduled for 6 to 10 July 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland. The annual Forum convenes representatives from governments, international organisations, civil society, the private sector, academia, and technical communities to exchange knowledge and engage in inclusive dialogue to advance digital cooperation and implement WSIS Action Lines.

The event is co-organised by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in collaboration with UNESCO, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), with the participation of more than 50 United Nations entities.

WSIS Forum serves as a platform for showcasing innovative solutions that support sustainable development objectives and for developing roadmaps that guide global cooperation on digital policy and inclusion.

Organisers have opened preparatory processes ahead of the main Forum, including an Open Consultation Process for stakeholders to submit contributions to the programme by 20 March 2026. There are also related activities such as the WSIS Prizes 2026, recognising outstanding ICT projects, and a photo contest highlighting how information and communication technologies contribute to sustainable development.
