The Forum on Internet Freedom in Africa 2026,
The Forum on Internet Freedom in Africa 2026, known as FIFAfrica26, will take place in Mauritius from 28 September to 1 October 2026.
The event marks the 13th edition of the forum and is expected to bring together more than 500 participants from across Africa and beyond. Discussions will focus on a range of issues affecting the continent’s digital landscape, including digital rights, inclusion, governance, data, AI, platform accountability, and digital security.
Registration for FIFAfrica26 is now open. The organisers are also accepting session proposals for panel discussions, lightning talks, exhibitions, and skills workshops. The deadline for submitting session proposals is 29 May 2026, at midnight Nairobi time.
FIFAfrica has been held since 2014 and has become an established gathering for stakeholders working on internet freedom, digital democracy, and internet governance in Africa.
