The Internet Governance Forum 2026 will convene its 21st annual meeting from 14 to 18 December 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya.

Organised under the auspices of the United Nations, the forum is expected to gather more than 9,000 participants from over 165 countries, with more than 250 sessions planned across five days. The IGF brings together governments, private sector actors, civil society, and the technical community to address public policy issues related to the internet.

Preparatory work for the meeting is underway, including an open call for thematic input that invited stakeholders worldwide to identify priorities and challenges in the governance of digital technologies. These contributions will inform the overall theme, subthemes, and programme design, as well as intersessional activities such as Policy Networks and Best Practice Forums.

Further details on the programme and participation will be published in the coming months. Interested participants can follow updates through the IGF web page.
