The 124th meeting of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) will take place from Saturday, November 1, to Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth in Montreal, Canada.

The event will bring together global experts from academia, industry, and the technical community to advance open standards and protocols that make the internet work better. As always, the week will feature a wide range of working group sessions, side meetings, and technical discussions across internet architecture, security, routing, and emerging technologies.

The IETF Hackathon and IETF Codesprint will take place over the opening weekend, offering hands-on opportunities for collaboration and code development. On Sunday afternoon, dedicated sessions will help new participants understand the IETF process and make the most of their first meeting.
