The European Commission and the 2025 Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU are hosting the Global Multistakeholder High-Level Conference on the Governance of Web 4.0 and Virtual Worlds, to be held on 31 March and 1 April 2025 at the Charlemagne Building, Brussels, and online.

This event will gather high-level policymakers, technologists, academics, and community leaders to discuss the governance of Web 4.0 and virtual worlds. Key topics include ethical policy solutions, standardization, and aligning governance frameworks with the multistakeholder model of internet governance.

Participants can contribute through short statements, and a summary paper will capture global reflections on future governance models.
