ICANN90 to be held in Australia
ICANN has selected Adelaide, Australia, to host its 90th Annual General Meeting from 30 October to 4 November 2027.
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has selected Adelaide, Australia, as the location for its 90th Annual General Meeting. ICANN90 will take place from 30 October to 4 November 2027 at the Adelaide Convention Centre and will be hosted by the .au Domain Administration (auDA).
The meeting will mark the third time that ICANN has held a Public Meeting in Australia. Previous meetings in the country took place in Melbourne in 2001 and Sydney in 2009.
ICANN holds three Public Meetings each year, rotating between its different geographic regions. These meetings are a central part of ICANN’s multistakeholder model, providing a forum for policy development, outreach, exchanges between stakeholders and discussions with the ICANN Board and organisation.
The meetings typically include more than 100 sessions covering issues related to ICANN’s work and policy development processes. They bring together representatives from different parts of the ICANN community, including governments, businesses, civil society, technical organisations and other stakeholders.
ICANN Public Meetings are open to everyone and free to attend. Participants can take part either in person or remotely, allowing stakeholders from different regions to follow and contribute to the discussions.
