ICANN publishes prep week schedule ahead of ICANN86 Policy Forum

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has published the schedule for its ICANN86 Prep Week, a series of sessions designed to prepare participants for the upcoming Policy Forum.

Prep Week will take place on 20 and 21 May 2026 and will precede the ICANN86 Policy Forum, scheduled for 8–11 June in Seville, Spain.

The programme includes seven sessions covering key topics related to internet governance and domain name policy. These include updates on DNS abuse mitigation, policy development processes, financial planning, and broader regulatory and geopolitical developments affecting the domain name system.

Additional sessions will focus on ongoing review processes and engagement between the ICANN Board and the wider community.

All sessions will be held in English, with simultaneous interpretation available in French and Spanish. Participation is open to registered attendees, with remote access options provided.

Prep Week forms part of ICANN’s process of preparing stakeholders for discussions and decision-making at its regular policy meetings.
