AFRINIC invites applications for fellowship programme at Africa Internet Summit 2026
Applications are open for a fellowship supporting participation in internet governance and technical discussions at AFRINIC-37 in Nairobi.
The African Network Information Centre (AFRINIC) is inviting applications for its Fellowship Programme as a part of AFRINIC-37, which will take place during the Africa Internet Summit 2026 from 22 to 26 June in Nairobi.
The programme is aimed at individuals from across Africa with an interest in internet governance, infrastructure, and policy. It provides selected participants with the opportunity to attend and engage in key meetings, including the Public Policy Meeting and the Annual General Members’ Meeting.
Fellows will take part in technical sessions and discussions on internet number resource management, which relates to how IP addresses and other core internet resources are distributed and governed. The programme also offers opportunities to interact with stakeholders from government, academia, industry, and the technical community.
Participation costs are covered, including travel, accommodation, and a stipend. Applicants must be residents of an African country and demonstrate interest or involvement in the internet ecosystem.
Applications are open until 5 May 2026, with selected candidates to be announced later in May.
