The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has opened applications for its Fellowship Programme ahead of the ICANN87 Annual General Meeting, scheduled for 17–22 October 2026 in Muscat, Oman.
The application round, announced on 19 March 2026, will remain open until 19 April 2026 at 23:59 UTC, with selected candidates to be announced on 18 June 2026.
The Fellowship Programme is designed to support individuals interested in or already involved in ICANN’s work, including domain name system operations, internet governance and policy development. It aims to broaden participation in ICANN’s multistakeholder model by encouraging engagement from underserved and underrepresented communities.
Participants selected for the programme will take part in ICANN87 either in person or virtually, depending on the format of the meeting.
The initiative forms part of ICANN’s broader efforts to strengthen global participation in the coordination and governance of the internet’s naming and addressing systems.
