The United Nations Office for Digital and Emerging Technologies has opened a call for written inputs ahead of the Global Dialogue on AI Governance, inviting contributions from governments, civil society, academia and technical experts.

The initiative was established by the UN General Assembly on 26 August 2025 as a platform to support international discussions on the governance of AI. It aims to facilitate cooperation, exchange best practices and promote more inclusive and transparent policymaking on AI.

The first session of the Dialogue will take place in Geneva on 6–7 July 2026, bringing together a wide range of stakeholders to discuss emerging regulatory and policy challenges linked to AI systems.

The call for inputs is intended to inform these discussions, with contributors encouraged to share experiences, policy approaches and recommendations related to AI governance. Submissions are open until 30 April 2026 at 11:59pm EDT.
