ICANN announces fellowship recipients for ICANN86 Policy Forum

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers has announced the recipients of the ICANN Fellowship Program for the ICANN86 Policy Forum. The selected group includes 40 fellows from 34 countries who are expected to participate in the meeting taking place from 8 to 11 June 2026 in Seville, Spain.

The fellows come from a wide range of backgrounds, including civil society, government, academia, the technical community, business, security, and end-user groups. The Fellowship Program is designed for individuals who are already involved in, or interested in contributing to, ICANN’s work on Internet governance, domain name policy development, and the security and stability of the Domain Name System.

As ICANN86 is a Policy Forum, all selected fellows are returning alumni of the program. According to ICANN, the organisation received 78 eligible applications for this round. If the ICANN86 meeting is held in a virtual format, the Fellowship Program will also be conducted online.
