Title: ICANN85 prep week schedule published ahead of Mumbai community forum
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers has released the programme for ICANN85 Prep Week, a series of online briefings designed to prepare the community for the March 2026 Community Forum in Mumbai.
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has published the schedule for ICANN85 Prep Week, a set of preparatory sessions taking place from 23 to 25 February 2026. The sessions are intended to help participants familiarise themselves with key policy, operational, and strategic topics ahead of the ICANN85 Community Forum, scheduled for 7–12 March 2026 in Mumbai, India.
Prep Week will consist of 12 sessions spread over three days. All sessions will be held in English, with remote simultaneous interpretation available in French and Spanish. Participation is open to anyone registered for ICANN85, and remote access links will be shared 24 hours before each session begins.
The programme covers a broad range of issues central to ICANN’s work. Topics include policy implementation updates, contractual compliance, planning and finance, geopolitical and regulatory developments, and engagement between the ICANN Board and the wider community. Dedicated sessions will also address the upcoming next round of the New gTLD Program, Universal Acceptance, the ICP-2 Review, and the ICANN Grant Program.
Session materials, recordings, and transcripts will be published on the ICANN85 website as they become available, allowing participants who cannot attend live to follow the discussions. ICANN positions Prep Week as a practical entry point for community members to prepare for in-depth deliberations during the Community Forum itself.
