ICANN87 Annual General Meeting

The 28th Annual General Meeting of ICANN will take place on 17-22 October 2026 in Muscat, Oman. The meeting will focus on internet governance, policy development, and technical coordination of the global domain name system.

The meeting is organised by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, the organisation responsible for coordinating the global domain name system, IP address allocation, and other critical internet identifiers. ICANN Annual General Meetings are among the organisation’s main public meetings and include policy discussions, technical sessions, constituency meetings, and public forums.

ICANN87 is expected to bring together a broad range of stakeholders, including governments, technical experts, civil society organisations, private sector representatives, and members of the academic community. Discussions usually cover issues such as DNS policy development, internet security and stability, accountability mechanisms, and the evolution of the multistakeholder model of internet governance.
