Africa Tech Policy Summit 2025
The first edition of the Africa Tech Policy Summit (AfTPS) is set to take place from May 12–16, 2025, at The Edge Convention Centre in Nairobi, Kenya. Organised by KICTANet, the event will convene policymakers, private sector leaders, academia, civil society, and tech startups from across Africa to promote the harmonisation of tech policies and drive technological development across the continent.
Tech for Human Development: Policy, Innovation, and Inclusive Governance theme underscores the Summit’s focus on aligning regional, continental, and national efforts to create effective policies and incentives for emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, to drive societal transformation in Africa
The Africa Tech Policy Summit 2025 offers a unique opportunity to:

The Summit is organised by KICTANet, a multistakeholder ICT policy think tank. It builds upon the legacy of the Kenya IGF Week and features events such as the Kenya Internet Governance Forum (KeIGF) and the East Africa Internet Governance Forum (EAIGF). This year’s summit is organised in collaboration with the East African Community (EAC) and supported by key partners, including the Civil Society Alliances for Digital Empowerment (CADE).
